London Youth Orchestra

The new London Youth Orchestra is an exciting project that offers an opportunity for young instrumentalists from all over London to meet on a weekly basis. In collaboration with Verdandi Camerata, Rachmaninoff Music Academy (London) and the Rosiek Nguyen Strings Institute, the orchestra will prepare thrilling programmes for performance at a high level in prestigious venues.
Participants are required to be of a level equivalent to Grade 6 or above and demonstrate exceptional musical passion and ability.

Concert: April 8th 2022 at St. Pauls Covent Garden
Age: There is no lower age limit, upper limit is 17.
Ability: equivalent of grade 6+
Audition requirement: 2 contrasting pieces to be
prepared, sight reading and a short interview.
Audition dates: once a year audition, date to be
announced after the application deadline.
Spring 2022 pilot project: due to Covid risk, we are
starting with a string-only programme.
Spring Term rehearsals:
Half Term: Feb 14th - 17th
Easter break: April 5th - 8th
